While visiting his family in Odessa in Ukraine, a young Sigmund Freud is invited to the countryside estate of a wealthy aristocrat, by his young wife Sophia, who is concerned about her husband’s nightmares and sleepwalking. Freud starts his psychoanalysis on his new patient and uncovers fantasies of a psychologically disturbed person who believes he is the leader of a wolf pack, but soon discovers that the wolves really exist and the family servants are worshipers of an ancient cult of wolves. Freud realizes that he and Sophia are in grave danger but as they struggle to save her husband and escape from the clutches of the cult the snow closes in and her husband’s behavior becomes even stranger.
