While exploring abandoned houses left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, a group of young explorers known as “The Chew” discovers a missing boy who turns out to have unbelievable powers.
The gang includes the adventurer Cole, the boy genius Morgan, the lovable klutz Hank, street wise Jackson and the newest member, Johanna. Once the gang befriends the supernatural boy, Andrew, they quickly discover they aren’t the only ones aware of his abilities; an aggressive private investigator has been hired to hand the boy over to a powerful company looking to replicate an abuse his extraordinary abilities. Seeking only to reunite him with his father, The Chew vows to help Andrew control his untamed powers all while avoiding the watchful eye of the P.I., Cole’s overprotective brother and above all, manage to not be grounded.
